Instead of coarse climbing rope stitched to bulky mass-produced rings, we developed our own materials and hardware to achieve a cleaner shape and a great user experience.

The custom-developed nylon-polyester rope with a basket weave offers the ideal balance of strength, softness and stretch, making carrying your camera comfortable. At the ends, the strap flows seamlessly into colour-matched, low-profile versions of our Anchor Link quick connectors made of glass-fibre-reinforced nylon, ensuring secure and easy camera attachment.

An elegant anodised aluminium ring lets you attach a free Anchor, so you can stow the strap on your body when you take the camera off. With four fixed-length sizes, every photographer can choose their ideal length and carry style.

Key features

Fixed strap length minimises hardware for a clean, simple experience

Can be worn cross-body, around the neck or on the shoulder

Custom-developed rope offers the ideal balance of strength, comfort and stretch

No visible seams for a clean, integrated look

Anchor Link quick-connect system is fast, secure and exclusive to Peak Design straps

Each Anchor is rated to 90 kg (200 lb); total strap load capacity is 82 kg (180 lb)

Custom extra-thin, colour-matched Anchor housings

Updated v5 Anchors with a visually cleaner design

Anchors and Anchor housings are backwards- and cross-compatible with all other Peak Design straps

Aluminium ring (machined and anodised) for stowing the strap on your body or for single-point carry of compact cameras (crossbody versions only – not the neck version)

The straps are strong enough for the vast majority of camera setups and are optimised for carrying smaller kits

Specifications

Weight (without Anchors)

Neck: 42.5 g

Short Crossbody: 53.8 g

Standard Crossbody: 62.4 g

Long Crossbody: 68 g

Length (with Anchors)

Neck: 78.5 cm

Short Crossbody: 103.5 cm

Standard Crossbody: 118.5 cm

Long Crossbody: 133.5 cm

Rope diameter: 10 mm

Load capacity (all sizes)

Each Anchor is rated to over 90 kg (200 lb)

Total strap load capacity is 82 kg (180 lb)

Camera compatibility

Attaches to any camera with one or more strap lugs.

Optimal comfort and length for smaller mirrorless/DSLR setups with shorter lenses.

Materials

Rope: nylon and polyester rope with a custom-developed basket weave

Hardware: Anchor housings made of glass-fibre-reinforced nylon.
