Redakce Prixiro |

The 2027 Formula 1 season has 24 Grands Prix and a record 10 Sprints. It starts on 12–14 March in Bahrain and ends on 10–12 December in Abu Dhabi. Official start times have not been announced yet, so for each race we give an indicative Central European time based on this year's schedule.

The calendar was approved by the FIA World Motor Sport Council and published by Formula 1 on 16 September 2026. Information in this article is current as of 15 October 2026.

The 2027 F1 calendar at a glance

  • 24 races in 22 countries, 10 of them Sprint weekends (up from 6 in 2026).
  • Pre-season testing: Bahrain, 24–27 February 2027.
  • Returning: Portugal (Portimão) in June and Türkiye (Istanbul Park) in October – the Turkish race is still subject to FIA circuit homologation.
  • Not on the calendar: the Dutch Grand Prix (Zandvoort) and Barcelona. Spain is represented by Madrid.
  • Summer break: after the Hungarian Grand Prix (1 August) until Monza (3–5 September).

All 2027 F1 races and start times in Central European time

The times in the last column are indicative, not official. They are based on the local race start times used in 2026 (for Bahrain and Saudi Arabia, the original 2026 plan), converted to Central European time (Prague, Vienna, Berlin) on the race date. Portugal and Türkiye have no 2026 reference, so their times are estimates based on the usual European 15:00 local start.

Daylight saving time: what to watch out for

In Central Europe, summer time (CEST) runs in 2027 from Sunday 28 March to Sunday 31 October. That has a few practical consequences:

  • Bahrain and Saudi Arabia still take place in winter time (CET).
  • Australia is on 4 April, when Central Europe is already on summer time and Melbourne ends its daylight saving that same day. A 15:00 local start therefore means 07:00 CEST (in 2026 it was 05:00).
  • Mexico falls exactly on 31 October, the day clocks go back. The race runs in the local afternoon, so it is already on CET.
  • Las Vegas races on Saturday night local time, which is early Sunday morning in Europe.

2027 Sprints

There will be a Sprint at ten events: Bahrain, Australia, Japan, Canada, Monaco, Great Britain, Italy (Monza), Brazil, Qatar and Abu Dhabi. Bahrain, Australia, Japan, Monaco and Abu Dhabi host one for the first time, which means Monaco will have two qualifying sessions – for the Sprint and for the Grand Prix. Sprint weekends usually have a single practice session, with Sprint qualifying on Friday.

What could still change

  • Middle East: in 2026 the Bahrain and Saudi Arabian Grands Prix were cancelled due to the security situation. Media report that the first two 2027 rounds are not certain and that Formula 1 is considering alternatives. According to the organisers in Melbourne, the Australian race cannot move its date.
  • Türkiye: the race depends on circuit homologation.
  • Azerbaijan: in 2026 the Baku race was held on a Saturday. The 2027 weekend is listed as 24–26 September; whether the race will be on Sunday has not been confirmed.

Double- and triple-headers

If you are planning to watch or travel to a race, expect these blocks of consecutive weekends:

  • Bahrain – Saudi Arabia (March)
  • Australia – Japan – China (April, three weekends in a row)
  • Great Britain – Austria (July)
  • Monza – Madrid (September)
  • Baku – Istanbul – Singapore (late September and October)
  • Austin – Mexico – São Paulo (late October and early November)
  • Qatar – Abu Dhabi (December)

Races closest to the Czech Republic and Slovakia

For fans in Central Europe, the most accessible races are the Austrian Grand Prix at the Red Bull Ring in Spielberg (9–11 July) and the Hungarian Grand Prix at the Hungaroring (30 July – 1 August). If you want to go trackside in team colours, you will find caps, T-shirts and accessories in the F1 Teams and Red Bull Ring Spielberg collections. Collectors who want a reminder of a particular race can browse the Formula 1 models collection.
